I was catching up with a friend that I haven’t seen for a while recently and my granddad has a habit of coming through when we are together. We were chatting away when she suddenly told me that my Granddad had a message for me. His message was for me to ‘stand tall’. My first reaction was what on earth did he mean… did he mean stand up for what I believe in, or did he mean stand up and be counted or just what was he getting at?
Messages are always open to interpretation by the person receiving the message and as I wasn’t entirely sure about what Granddad meant I asked by sending a thought out.
‘Stand in your power, Be your true essence’ were the words that came to me, but what does that really mean? It caused me to wonder ‘Who am I?’ and in lots of ways of course I know but when you connect to your very essence, your soul, who are you? What came to me this morning was:
I AM Love,
I AM Light,
I AM Joy,
I AM Peace,
I AM Blessed,
I AM Rich in every way,
I AM Loved,
I AM One with the Universe
These words are in fact very powerful and when we use ‘I AM’ we are connecting with our spirit, our very essence, our I AM presence, for when we connect with our I AM presence we are connecting with the universe and all that is. When we use I AM statements like those above we are opening ourselves up and allowing ourselves to be in a state of Being, rather than doing. We are allowing ourselves to be the limitless beings that we are meant to be rather than putting limitations around ourselves. We are changing our energy to a positive, open, loving energy and we are allowing ourselves to stand tall in our own power. When we stand in our own power we are not out to have power over others but rather to have that inner knowing of who and what we are. When we stand in our own power we are able to love ourselves and then we can emanate love to everything and everyone around us. When we stand in our own power we are at one with ourselves and the universe and are able to just Be. When we allow ourselves to just Be we stop fighting ourselves and go with the flow trusting that all is as it should be.
Take a few moments in meditation to find out who you are. You may have some similar words to mine and there may be some that are very different. It doesn’t matter, what matters is that you connect with yourself, your ‘I AM Presence’ and allow yourself to ‘Just Be’!
