When I am working with oracle cards I ask a question and then channel a message through automatic writing from the card that I pull (or that falls out of the pack as I’m shuffling it) rather than us the book that in the box. I often find that when I later look any the message in the book for the card, it’s on similar lines to what I have channelled.
I puled the card ‘Void’ from the Archangel Metatron pack by Amanda Ellis recently after asking for a message in relation to dealing with being triggered. The card has the words retreat, rest , pause written on it.
As I tuned into the card this is the message I received from my guides; ” This card brings a reminder that when we step back or retreat, rest and pause we can gain greater insight and understanding into any given situation , so if you have been triggered by someone something and emotions have come out of nowhere, it’s important to step back, take a rest and allow yourself to acknowledge, feel and release those emotions that have been triggered, so that you look at the situation without the influence of the emotions.
It also reminds us of the many layers of experiences that can lead to use being triggered so that we can look beyond the moment of being triggered and reacting, and feel into the wisdom within to understand why we were triggered and so what needs to be healed. It may be that there are issues that need addressing that relate to the person or situation triggering you or that childhood memories and experiences or something much deeper may have been triggered from other lifetimes and experiences.
When we step back, rest and pause we respond rather than react , so stepping out of the drama with an understanding that there may be something much deeper at play. It is also a reminder of the ripple effect, so as we heal we we help to heal others the release of anything negative from ushers a positive effect on those around us and then those around them.
When we retreat, rest and pause can ask the universe to support us and guide us in the knowledge that we are co-creators of our lives and so we need to address any issues that are creating blocks and stopping us from moving forward in a way that is aligned with our values our purpose and the love within”
So for me this is a reminder of the importance of taking a step back when we are triggered so that we don’t feed into the drama or create drama by reacting. to what has been said, or done or happened. When we step back it gives us time to acknowledge and feel the emotions that have been triggered in us and to release them in a positive way. When we are charged with emotion then we will react very differently to someone or something than when we have allowed ourselves to acknowledge, feel into and release the emotions that have been triggered. It is of course very important to relate the emotions in a constructive way so that we aren’t taking our anger or frustration for example out on others.
Once the initial emotions have passed we need to take the time to start asking ourselves questions like ;
What is really going on here? Why do I feel this way? Is this reaction actually linked to something in my childhood that I have buried? Do these feelings go deeper than childhood to the memory of something from another lifetime? Is this a pattern that I have held onto from my childhood? Is it a pattern Ive seen may parents or grandparents use ?
When we start to ask the questions and go inward, sitting in stillness and so in the moment for a while and listen the answers will come to us. It’s important to discover what it is that is at the root of why you were triggered so that you can heal it on that deeper level. It might be a fear or a fixed false belief, that is creating the initial reaction or it may be a trauma that has been experienced. When we get to the root cause of an issue being brought to our attention and release it, we cant be triggered around that issue again.
