I was having one of my deep and meaningful conversations with a close friend recently and we were discussing what being a genius really means, as it is seen as being linked to IQ and intelligence within the current way of thinking, and yet to us it is far more than this.
You don’t actually need to be highly intelligent to be a genius, you simply need to be “on purpose” and doing what you love!
When I looked up the word genius in the dictionary I was fascinated to find that it said that the Latin derivative meant, ‘attendant spirit present from one’s birth, innate ability or inclination’, which comes from the root of gignere ‘beget’. It seems that the original sense ‘spirit attendant on a person’ then gave rise to an understanding as ‘a person’s characteristic disposition’ ( around the late 16th century), which then led to an interpretation of ‘a person’s natural ability’, and finally ‘exceptional natural ability’ ( around the mid 17th century).
So when you look at the final interpretations of ‘a person’s natural ability’ and ‘exceptional natural ability’ you can see that this understanding links in nicely with being ‘on purpose’. When we are ‘on purpose’ we are doing what comes naturally to us, we are homing in on our natural gifts and abilities and as we do this we start to unlock all the knowledge and wisdom connected with these gifts allowing us to become an expert in our field, or a ‘genius’.
It is therefore my belief that anyone can become a genius, but to find the genius in you, the past needs to be healed on all levels and your heart opened. A true genius is someone who works with and through the heart centre. When the heart centre is open and a genius is at work everything flows.
Healing the past is key to everything and not just the past in your current life but any past life that is still affecting you. You will continue to draw in old dramas and scenarios until the energy of the distant past has been cleared. I have had many clients tell me that they have done counselling and other forms of healing and that things haven’t really changed and they don’t know how to change them to move them where they want to be.
From my experience with my own healing and that of others I have come to understand that it is only when the energies are cleared that old dramas and scenarios change. Everything works on vibration and frequency, as we are energy, and so it makes sense that if you want to change your life, the energy needs to change from within you so that you no longer draw in the same issues and dramas.
This means that healing past lives on a deep level is an essential part of the healing process that is needed to move you “on purpose”. As past lives are cleared, your energy will shift and change allowing you to move further ‘on purpose’ . You will then connect with your Soul on a deeper level and knowledge and wisdom can then be unlocked for you, allowing you to develop your gift further.
Too much time is taken teaching children and indeed adults subjects and information which block their real gifts and talents, pitting them against each other in competitive exams that mean nothing but the paper that they are written on. It is so important to recognise your gifts and those of your children and then look at how they may be developed so that both you and your children can become the genius that you have the potential to be.
When true gifts are nurtured it helps to open the heart centre which allows a greater connection with Source and the Soul. Some of the greatest works are those that have come directly from the heart and Soul as they haven’t been limited by the patterning and programming of the world that we currently live in. We are not limited beings, we are limitless, and when we allow ourselves to be limitless the genius in us shines through!
A genius at work is a person who is filled with love, joy and peace as they are doing what comes to them naturally and brings them true happiness.
